Welcome to the world of "shimi murasaki"(the violet stain)
a world of altered consciousness turned to the light through underground wanderings and ponderings of art,music and full moon happenings, housed within a traditional "machiya"(Edo period antique merchant townhouse).
It's a place where one might expect to meet Baudelaire or Nico conversing with Edgawa Rampo about Marquis de Sado over a cup of tea or bottle of hemp beer, fortified with a plate of green curry.
Alternatively, one definitely will find artists, musicians and cultural explorers discussing the recent happenings in the various scenes.
You have been warned - this is not a vigorously- scrubbed clean chain shop clone, or ever a 'tastefully-arranged' featured place in an upscale magazine.
This is a real place for real people, where the dirt of the violet stain washes away the trivial postwrings of the everyday world.
